Terms of Use

Last updated: July 24, 2026

About These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the PDF Hub website, the online PDF tools available at www.pdfhub.org, and the PDF processing service available through api.pdfhub.org.

By accessing or using PDF Hub, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use PDF Hub.

Service Provider

PDF Hub is operated and provided by Darko Gorichanac, a natural person based in Slovenia.

Contact: info@pdfhub.org

Description of the Service

PDF Hub provides online tools that allow users to perform operations on PDF documents, including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and watermarking files.

The available features, file limits, supported formats, and technical requirements may differ between individual tools and may change over time.

PDF Hub currently does not require visitors to create a public user account.

Free Use of PDF Hub

At present, the public PDF Hub tools are provided without charge.

We may introduce new features, paid services, usage plans, advertising, or additional limitations in the future. Any paid service will be subject to clearly displayed pricing and any additional terms provided before a purchase is made.

The introduction of a paid feature will not create a retroactive payment obligation for use that was previously offered free of charge.

Eligibility

You may use PDF Hub only if you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under the law applicable to you.

If you are under the age at which you can independently accept contractual terms in your country, you may use PDF Hub only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Your Files and Content

You retain ownership of the files and content that you upload to PDF Hub.

By uploading a file, you grant PDF Hub a limited, temporary, non-exclusive permission to receive, copy, process, transform, and return the file only as necessary to perform the PDF operation you requested.

This permission ends when the requested processing operation and related temporary file handling are completed.

PDF Hub does not claim ownership of your uploaded files or the processed output.

Your Responsibility for Uploaded Files

You are responsible for the files you upload and for the way you use the processed results.

You must ensure that:

  • You own the uploaded content or have the necessary permission to process it.
  • Uploading and processing the file does not violate copyright, confidentiality, privacy, contractual, professional, or other legal obligations.
  • The file does not contain unlawful, malicious, or harmful content.
  • Your use of the resulting file complies with applicable law and the rights of other persons.

You should avoid uploading confidential, highly sensitive, irreplaceable, or legally restricted documents unless using an online processing service is appropriate for your circumstances.

Prohibited Uses

You must not use PDF Hub to:

  • Upload or process content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise prohibited by law.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, confidentiality obligations, trade secrets, or other rights belonging to another person.
  • Upload malware, viruses, scripts, corrupted files, or content intended to damage or interfere with systems.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, API, server, containers, databases, administrative interfaces, or other non-public systems.
  • Circumvent file-size limits, page limits, request limits, security controls, access restrictions, or technical safeguards.
  • Perform automated requests, scraping, scanning, stress testing, or other activity that creates excessive or unreasonable load without prior written permission.
  • Use PDF Hub to distribute spam, phishing content, malicious documents, or deceptive material.
  • Misrepresent PDF Hub, falsely suggest endorsement, or use the service in a manner likely to harm other users or the operation of the website.

File Processing and Deletion

Uploaded files and generated results are processed temporarily for the purpose of completing the requested operation.

PDF Hub is designed to delete temporary uploaded files and generated output files from the processing server after the request is completed.

PDF Hub is not a file-storage, backup, archiving, or document-management service.

You should retain an original copy of every file before uploading it and verify the downloaded result before deleting or replacing the original.

You should not rely on PDF Hub as the only location where a document or processed result exists.

File and Usage Limits

PDF Hub may enforce technical limits relating to file size, total upload size, number of files, number of pages, processing time, request frequency, available memory, or supported file formats.

Current limits are displayed on the relevant tool pages and may be changed where necessary for security, reliability, performance, or capacity management.

Attempts to bypass these limits may result in the request being rejected or access being temporarily restricted.

Accuracy and Quality of Results

PDF processing and file conversion may not always preserve every visual, structural, or technical element of the original document.

Fonts, images, tables, columns, forms, links, metadata, annotations, transparency, embedded files, page dimensions, or complex layouts may be changed, omitted, or reproduced imperfectly.

Compression may not reduce every PDF file. A small or previously optimized PDF may remain the same size or may not be capable of meaningful further compression.

PDF-to-Word conversion is intended primarily for text-based PDF documents. Scanned PDFs are not currently supported unless explicitly stated otherwise.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating every processed file before relying on it, publishing it, submitting it, signing it, printing it, or using it for legal, financial, professional, regulatory, or other important purposes.

Availability and Changes to the Service

We aim to keep PDF Hub available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.

The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates, security incidents, technical failures, network problems, hosting limitations, excessive demand, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may add, modify, restrict, replace, suspend, or discontinue a tool or feature where reasonably necessary.

Where practical, significant planned changes will be communicated on the website.

Intellectual Property

The PDF Hub name, website design, written content, branding, logos, user interface, original software, and other materials made available through the website are owned by or licensed to the PDF Hub service provider, unless otherwise stated.

These Terms grant you only a limited right to access and use the public service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, redistribute, impersonate, or commercially exploit PDF Hub branding, website content, or non-public software without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

PDF Hub may use open-source software and third-party components that remain subject to their respective licences.

Privacy

The processing of personal data and technical information is described in the PDF Hub Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy also explains how uploaded files, technical logs, analytics information, and support communications are handled.

Third-Party Services and Links

PDF Hub may rely on third-party providers for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, email, security, or other technical services.

The website may also contain links to external websites or services that are not operated by PDF Hub.

PDF Hub is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of independent third-party websites. A link does not necessarily mean that PDF Hub endorses the third party or its content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

PDF Hub is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, that every file can be processed, that results will be error-free, or that the output will be suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDF Hub and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service.

This may include loss of data, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of revenue, interruption of work, or damage resulting from an unverified or unsuitable processed file.

You are responsible for keeping backup copies of your original files and for checking all processed results.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights.

Suspension or Restriction of Access

We may reject a request or temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to:

  • Protect the security or availability of PDF Hub.
  • Prevent misuse, automated abuse, excessive load, or circumvention of technical limits.
  • Respond to suspected unlawful activity.
  • Protect the rights, systems, or safety of PDF Hub, its providers, users, or third parties.
  • Comply with a legal obligation or valid request from a competent authority.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, restrictions will be proportionate to the identified risk or misuse.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without excluding any mandatory rights or protections that apply to consumers under the law of their country of residence.

Any dispute will be submitted to the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we permanently waive the right to enforce it later.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, technical limits, business model, providers, legal requirements, or available tools change.

The current version and its last-updated date will be published on this page.

If a change materially affects users, we will provide reasonable notice on the website where appropriate.
